Sunil Grover and Kapil Sharma reunite for ” The Great Indian kapil show” after their fallout in 2017. At a recent press meet, they joked about their fight being a publicity stunt and sunil also added that the show feels like homecoming.
At a recent press conference of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’, actor and comedian Sunil Grover said that being on the set of the show made him feel ‘back home’. This is the first time that Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover will be reuniting after their fallout in 2017. At the press meet of the comedy series, Sunil and Kapil also teased each other about them coming together and joked that the fight was nothing but a ‘publicity stunt’.
Talking about getting back with the team, Sunil shared that they had a wonderful time while rehearsing together. Calling it a homecoming, he added, “It has been a delight to be part of this show. This is one place where work doesn’t feel like work. I feel blessed… I am back home. We laugh all day and when we go to the stage we take that laughter there. We keep exploring new things. I am the happiest when we rehearse for a new episode. I don’t think we ever have this much fun discussing jokes, and laughing throughout the day.”
When the host brought up their mid-air fight, Sunil shared that it was a ploy by him and Kapil to promote this show since then. He said that Netflix was making an inroad in India and they thought that the fight would give them an edge over it. “Uss time pe Netflix India mein naya naya aaya tha toh humko laga ki television ki audience ko baandh ke rakhne ke liye kuch karna padega (Netflix had just entered in India back then. So, we thought we needed to do something to hold our television audience). That’s how we came up with that idea of a fight as a publicity stunt,” he said laughing.
The actor added, “We are fortunate that we are bringing this show worldwide, thanks to Netflix. I am feeling good. The audiences have always loved this show. We have been making everyone laugh for so many years now. I hope you continue to shower love on us.”
